2. What Data We Collect

We only collect permission metadata:

  • File and folder IDs
  • File and folder names
  • Folder hierarchy (paths)
  • Access control lists (ACLs) — who has Viewer, Editor, or Manager access
  • Scan timestamps
  • OAuth tokens (encrypted, stored securely for API access)

We never collect: File contents, document text, file previews, or any actual data from your files.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected metadata to:

  • Build and display permission maps
  • Enable filtering by user or resource
  • Detect risky shares (external domains, public links)
  • Generate audit reports
  • Provide AI-powered insights and suggestions

4. Data Storage and Security

Cloud-hosted plans: Data is stored in secure, encrypted databases with industry-standard security measures.

Self-hosted Enterprise plans: All data remains in your own Google Cloud Platform (GCP) project. We never access it.

We use OAuth2 with the drive.readonly scope only. We follow Google's OAuth verification requirements.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. We may share data only:

  • With your explicit consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • With service providers who assist in operating our service (under strict confidentiality agreements)
